Netherlands GO - Crop (uncertified, subsidised) - 2026

This assessment represents the price of the transfer of crop-based biomethane Guarantees of Origin (GOs) produced in the Netherlands in euros per megawatt hour. These GOs reflect subsidised production for 2026 under the SDE scheme, issued by Verticer and administered by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency. The assessment reflects GOs that are certified by a RED-compliant scheme and with a carbon intensity of at least 25 gCO2e/MJ. Bids, offers and deals must represent trade for a minimum of one GWh. Certified GOs have had their feedstocks, origin, production process and carbon intensity verified by a national or EU-recognised certification scheme and can often command a premium value versus uncertified GOs. Subsidised GOs have received state support for their production and so are typically cheaper than unsubsidised GOs, but may face limitations in cross-border trade and in their use to meet national transport renewable energy and emission reduction compliance targets.
