Netherlands GO - Waste (certified, unsubsidised) - 2025

This assessment represents the price of the transfer of waste-based biomethane Guarantees of Origin (GOs) produced in the Netherlands in euros per megawatt hour. These GOs reflect unsubsidised production for 2025. The assessment reflects GOs that are certified by a RED-compliant scheme and with a carbon intensity of between 0 gCO2e/MJ and 25 gCO2e/MJ. Bids, offers and deals must represent a minimum of one GWh. Certified /GOs have had their feedstocks, origin, production process and carbon intensity verified by a national or EU-recognised certification scheme and can often command a premium value versus uncertified GOs. Unsubsidised GOs have not received state support for their production and so are typically costlier than subsidised GOs, but face less limitations in cross-border trade and can usually be used to meet national transport renewable energy and emission reduction compliance targets.
