Used as a bunker, this fuel has a maximum content of 3.5% with a centistoke of 180 and can only be used in vessels that have technology to scrub sulfur from the exhaust. The spot physical assessment is for 15-30 days loading. The fuel trades on a flat price basis and as a differential to the underlying swaps curve. It differs from the ex-wharf price due to the cargo size. The balmo and monthly assessments are Quantum's assessed value of swaps contracts that are financially-settled against S&P Global Platts' average monthly assessment published on the calendar month in question. The swaps assessments roll monthly on the 1st of each month.
